A PERFECT CIRCLE Is Coming Around Again
June 18, 2010According to The Pulse of Radio, A PERFECT CIRCLE, the band featuring TOOL's Maynard James Keenan on vocals and Billy Howerdel on guitar, seems like it's definitely coming back to life again after a six-year hiatus. Howerdel's band ASHES DIVIDE performed at Hollywood's Viper Room on Wednesday night (June 16),where Howerdel told the Antiquiet that a full album and tour were possible for A PERFECT CIRCLE, and that the band was working on "something" that should be out later this year.
Keenan hinted to The Pulse of Radio a while back that A PERFECT CIRCLE might release new music, although not necessarily an entire album. "I doubt if we'll do any touring or, you know, do a full album," he said. "We might do some one-off shows here and there if the timing's right and it seems like a good vibe and a smart thing to do. But most likely we'll just kind of concentrate on, you know, one or two songs at a time, rather than investing all the time and money and effort into making those plastic discs that no one cares about anymore."
Keenan did make a surprise appearance during ASHES DIVIDE's show, while he and Howerdel also performed together on Monday night (June 14),doing a cover of QUEEN's "Bohemian Rhapsody" (see video below) at the E3 video game convention in Los Angeles.
TOOL will begin a North American tour on July 16 in Las Vegas and is also said to be working on its next album.
