ABORTED: Footage From 'Summer Slaughter Tour' Posted Online
August 6, 2008European death metal butchers ABORTED, whose members hail from Belgium, France and UK, recently wrapped up a successful run as part of the Summer Slaughter Tour. Video footage from the trek — featuring interviews, live clips and other candid moments from the band's first U.S. tour since 2005 — can be viewed below.
Vocalist Sven de Caluwé comments: "We just got home from an exhausting and incredible Summer Slaughter tour, which was honestly one of the best tours all round we have ever done. Many thanks to all the fans that came out each day and supported us and the other bands, the whole tour crew and, last but not least, every single one of the bands on the tour that made it such an easy-going, relaxed experience! Expect us to be back this September with death metal legends CARCASS to obliterate what's left of you. Once again, thank you to everyone for making this tour such a success and see you guys in September!!!"
ABORTED's tour with CARCASS, SUFFOCATION, 1349 and ROTTEN SOUND will kick off on September 5 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Released on June 24 via Century Media Records, ABORTED's new album, "Strychnine.213", combines the band's undeniable live energy with a powerhouse production from Eric Rachel (THE RED CHORD, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, GOD FORBID) and a "fuck-you, rock-and-roll" approach to the overly edited, sterile sounding death metal records of today, according to a press release. The album's macabre cover artwork was designed by Colin Marks of Rain Song.
