ABORTED Looking For Songtitle Ideas
February 26, 2008Sven Dé Caluwe, vocalist of Belgian death/grind outfit ABORTED, has issued the following update:
"As usual, we always want to involve the fans as closely as we can. For 'The Archaic Abattoir' [2005] we did the victim list and evidence bag, for 'Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture' [2007] we invited fans to join us in our video shoot for 'The Chondrin Enigma'. This album should be no different. ABORTED would be nothing without the help of the fans and that is the way it will always be. This time we thought of involving you all in the creation of the new album! So we are launching a contest. Songwriting has been entirely done for the album and artwork is near completion. However, we didn't finish one lyric/songtitle for one of the tracks on the new album and this was the perfect opportunity to involve all you guys/girls in offering us what you think could be a perfect songtitle/idea for this final track on the new album! Send in your submissions to [email protected]. Songtitles should obviously fit ABORTED and the themes we handle or something that can relate to it. If you have a clear idea, documentation is always welcome. Also include your full name in the email and adress. The winner will be announced upon finishing the recordings and will be credited in the booklet/myspace and receive a free copy of the new record. Deadline for this is this week's Saturday at noon, so move fast if you want to be part of the record!"
ABORTED's European tour with HEAVEN SHALL BURN and MISERY SPEAKS will kick off on March 28 in Brugge, Belgium.
After slaughtering European audiences on its highly successful tour with BEHEMOTH and KATAKLYSM late last year, ABORTED uploaded the second episode of "Slaughter & Apparatus TV" featuring footage from the tour and revealing more about the sick quintet's off-stage antics than you ever wanted to know. Watch the eight-minute clip below.
An e-card for ABORTED's latest album, "Slaughter & Apparatus: A Methodical Overture", is available at this location. The e-card features the group's striking video for the track "The Chondrin Enigma". The CD was released on February 20, 2007 via Century Media Records.
