AC/DC Announces New Zealand Tour Dates

May 9, 2009

According to Stuff.co.nz, Anglo-Australian hard rock legends AC/DC will return to New Zealand for the first time in 14 years as part of their Black Ice World Tour.

The band will arrive next January to play at outdoor stadiums in Wellington and Auckland in what's being billed as one of the largest stage shows ever seen in this country.

Moving the aging rockers' production between venues is expected to take 48 semi-trailers.

The Kiwi tour the group's first since November 1996 comes on the back of the release of the hugely successful "Black Ice" album.

AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour will play in Wellington on January 30 2010, and Auckland, February 6. A further announcement will be made in a few weeks regarding the venues, ticketing details and on-sale dates.
