AC/DC To Perform At ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME Induction
March 7, 2003AC/DC will play at least two songs at the induction ceremony at Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on Monday (March 10),but are unlikely to take part in any jamming at the end of the night, according to guitarist Malcolm Young.
"I don't think it's a good idea, that one, 'cause it always sounds like a catfight up there, and there's too many of them up there, you know, and everyone looks stupid," Young explained. "I think if we can go on and do two tracks, whatever, I think that's great. I think if they saw us up at the end all singing, you know, whatever, I think it would be totally out of character for the band."
The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony takes place at the Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. In addition, AC/DC will play a free show in the city on Tuesday (March 11) at the Roseland Ballroom.
An edited version of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will air March 16 on VH1.
