ADEMA Ink New Deal With EARACHE RECORDS

July 26, 2004

According to AdemaWeb.com, ADEMA have officially signed with Earache Records. The band, who were dropped by Arista Records following the disappointing sales performance of the group's second full-length album, 2003's "Unstable", are planning on releasing their next effort before the end of the year. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Negativity", "Facing the Crowd" and "Back to Start". "Negativity" is said to be a "positive tune about overcoming" while "Facing the Crowd" is "equally optimistic, touching on how appreciative the band is to continue living the dream of playing music."

With regards to the new material, singer Marky Chavez recently told the Anchorage Daily News that songs are still heavy, but stray away from the "nu-metal" label, and are more comparable to bands like AEROSMITH and ALICE IN CHAINS. The sound is grittier, since the band switched from digital recording equipment to analog, and the music will have a "live and genuine feel." A tour with DOPE and TWISTED METHOD is reportedly in the works for September/October.
