AEROSMITH Bassist Says STEVEN TYLER Had An 'Overuse Injury'
April 6, 2006AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton told WZLX-FM's Carlson & McKenzie on Wednesday (April 5) that frontman Steven Tyler's throat had an "overuse injury...like tendonitis" that forced them to cancel shows.
"He had this minor, minor, minor [surgery] done and it went really well," Hamilton told the morning men.
Despite this setback, AEROSMITH plan to return to the road before the end of the year — possibly in the fall — for a afew months. "[Steven] is dying to get back out there and prove himself again which is really what he's all about," Hamilton said. "In the meantime, we're gonna see how much of a record we can get done before we go back out."

As previously reported, Hamilton will be "Banned In Boston" for the fourth time this Friday night (April 7),when he will put his best dress on for charity at the Avalon. Hamilton will be in costume as former First Lady Barbara Bush at the 11th annual "Banned In Boston" charity event, which raises money for Urban Improv, a theater-based violence prevention program. Hamilton has participated in the antics-driven comedic musical review three times before, including gigs as Camilla Parker Bowles, Laura Bush and Martha Stewart.
