AEROSMITH Frontman: 'Being Asked To Play In India Will Surely Be An Event We Won't Forget'
May 24, 2007AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler and drummer Joey Kramer recently spoke to Daily News & Analysis about the band's upcoming June 2 appearance at the Palace Grounds in Bangalore.
"This is the first time we are playing in India!" Tyler said. "We hope that this will be a good show. We are sure everyone will have an awesome time at the concert. And of course being asked to play in India will surely be an event we won't forget."
"Indian music is just wonderful," Kramer said. "It speaks the language of the soul and is just brilliant. We are aware of some of the genres of Indian music and artistes like Pandit Ravi Shankar. We know there is a world-famous music and movie scene in India and we are sure that its growing influence will continue."
Tyler also spoke about the high level of lunacy that one can witness during their shows and have absolutely no formula for sticking together for so many years as a band. "All our concerts are crazy! We are crazy," he said. "Talking about staying together, there are very few bands of our generation who are together and still around. It's a great thing in fact. We do fight. Yes, but what is more important is to keep that flow of dialogue open."
