AKERCOCKE: BBC Radio 1 Session To Air On Tuesday
January 8, 2006U.K. satanic death metallers AKERCOCKE were recently invited to the BBC's Maida Vale Studios to record a live session for the BBC Radio 1 "Rock Show".
The session will be broadcast between 1:00 a.m. (GMT) and 3:00 a.m. on the night of Tuesday, January 10.
Those not in the U.K. can listen to both the live show and an archived, on-demand version at BBC.co.uk.
AKERCOCKE released their fourth album, entitled "Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone", in October via Earache Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Choronzon" was recorded at the band's own Goat of Mendes studios in West London and was mixed by Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE). "Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone" marks the recording debut with the group of new guitarist Matthew Wilcock, who replaced Paul Scanlan in 2005.
