ALICE COOPER Crashes 'Rock Of Ages' In London; Video Footage, Photos Available

August 14, 2012

Legendary rocker Alice Cooper paid a visit to the U.K. cast of "Rock Of Ages", the comedy musical that inspired this year's star-studded Hollywood film of the same name, on Tuesday, August 14 to deliver a relentless version of the classic "School's Out". Check out video footage below. Photos can be found at AliceCooper.com.

"Rock Of Ages" is currently being staged at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London, starring Shayne Warde and Justin Lee Collins.

Twitter was abuzz earlier this week with rumors that Cooper might stop by for a surprise performance, and Alice himself teased, "hearing that @rockofagesuk in London is GOOD. But worthy of me crashing their little show? I'LL BE THE JUDGE OF THAT! (sic)', and he was sure to include the "Wayne's World" classic "We're Not Worthy" clip to emphasize his point.

Alice kept the heat and the suspense brewing with a later tweet directed at some of the "Rock Of Ages" U.K. cast members: "OK @shayneTward, @sandy_moffat & @simonlipkin - YOU'RE NEXT! #IKnowWhereYouLive. (sic)", which featured a link to another video... this time of his own head being chopped off!

Alice just finished up his hugely successful "No More Mr. Nice Guy" tour, which broke several attendance records in the USA and Europe. Cooper is in London this week to promote his upcoming October U.K. tour called "Night Of Fear", and in particular the featured Halloween show on October 29 show at London's Wembley. This will be the third year in a row that London has played host to Alice's infamous halloween show. This Halloween show will also mark another occasion — Alice Cooper will be the only foreign artist to play have played at Wembley for five decades straight!

This new tour will begin on October 24 in Cardiff, and according to Alice will feature three main parts... classic Alice tracks, a "Nightmare" section with tracks from the original album "Welcome To My Nightmare" and his most recent album "Welcome 2 My Nightmare", followed by an entirely new concept that he won't reveal. Also in the works is a new execution.

Alice begins rehearsals for the new tour in early October.
