AMORAL To Record New Album In July
May 16, 2005Finnish melodic death metallers AMORAL have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Well, we made it back home with no major losses or injuries (not counting cut fingers, stitched legs, lost phones and clothes or permanently damaged livers...) The atmosphere on the bus couldn't have possibly been any better than it was, thanks to FINNTROLL, NAGLFAR and the crew, who were all very cool to us. Also a big thank you to everyone who showed up to see us, or found themselves digging our show. The crowd responses were very good almost everywhere, so the gigs were a blast. We have about 10 hours worth of video material on and off stage, let's see if we'll be able to make something out of that pile of tapes someday...
"About the cancelled gig at Milton Keynes: We are very sorry about that, but there was nothing we could do about it. The promoter wasn't interested in fulfilling his side of the agreement, so our tour manager had no choice but to pull the gig...
"We'll spend July in the studio recording our second album, and at the moment the release date is set to October 4th. After the release we'll do a small tour here in Finland. Hopefully we'll be able to tour abroad too, in the beginning of next year...
"At the moment the only gigs booked are the two festivals in Finland, Tuska and Sauna Open Air. We'll introduce some new songs at both festivals, so if you have a chance to show up, it's highly recommended..."
AMORAL signed a deal with Spikefarm in July 2004 following their split with the U.K.'s Rage of Achilles. The group's debut album, "Wound Creations", was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios and was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox studios in Helsinki. An MP3 sample of the track "Solvent" can be downloaded at this location.
