ANIMA Completes Work On Debut Album

German deathcore outfit ANIMA — whose members are between 16 and 19 years old — has completed work on its debut album, "The Daily Grind", at the Rape Of Harmonies studios in Triptis, Germany. "We invested a lot of time and work into this album and are extremely proud about the final result," states bassist Justin Schüler.

The CD will be released on August 22 Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland and August 25 in the rest of Europe via Metal Blade Records.

ANIMA formed in the summer of 2005 under the name of METMACHINES before renaming itself TODAY HEAVEN'S DYING and eventually settling on the ANIMA moniker. The band completed its debut CD, "Souls of the Decedents", in the summer of 2006 at 138 Studios in Ellrich. This was followed by the recording sessions for "The Daily Grind" mini-CD in the fall of 2007 at Slaughter's Palace and Rape of Harmonies studios, but this effort was never released.
