APOCALYPTICA Change Location Of DVD Shoot
November 30, 2005Due to "technical reasons," Finnish cello-rockers APOCALYPTICA will not be able to record their upcoming live DVD in Erfurt (Dec. 2) and have changed the location of the shoot to Duesseldorf, Germany (Dec. 4).
As previously reported, APOCALYPTICA will be headliner of the prestigious opening night party for the "MIDEM - The World’s Music Market", set to take place January 22-26, 2006 in Cannes, France. Under the banner "Come hear. Finland," the evening will include a series of multi-genre, live concerts from today's hottest Finnish artists, to be performed on three separate stages. "Come hear. Finland" will take place on Sunday, January 22 in the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.
APOCALYPTICA's self-titled album was released in January via Universal. The CD includes a guest appearance by SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo on a song called "Betrayal/Forgiveness". The track, which is described by APOCALYPTICA's Perttu Kivilaakso as a "really fast, thrash metal-influenced song," marks the second time Lombardo has played on an APOCALYPTICA CD, having previously performed on 2003's "Reflections".
