ARCH ENEMY Frontwoman: 'I Fell In Love With You, Salt Lake City'
September 16, 2006ARCH ENEMY frontwoman Angela Gossow has issued the following update:
"Today [Sept. 15] seemed pretty much doomed. We had just split with our crew yesterday (front-of-house and drums/monitor tech) because they didnt work out for us on a technical level.. We have new people coming in tomorrow, but we knew we had to somehow wing it in Salt Lake City. I also woke up with a sore throat this morning. I must have eaten something wrong yesterday, because the food kept coming up all night long. My voice was pretty shot from the nightly acid bath. Plus a raging sinus-headache from the high altitude. Our anticipation of todays show was pretty low. I was afraid actually.
"And yes, the sound was no good onstage. No guitars, no drums, just vocals and bass. I had to keep running back and forth to the monitor desk to get it somewhat right. But it didnt matter. YOU WERE GREAT! You carried us through the show! You truly did! We had all odds against us today and you turned it around for us. THANK YOU! It felt so good walking off that stage and not being utterly depressed but feeling good!
"We will come back. And I promise you: We will be firing on all cylinders then! Today, I fell in love with you, Salt Lake City!"
ARCH ENEMY's double disc DVD set, "Live Apocalypse", was released last month. An e-card is available that features two videos taken from the DVD for the tracks "Ravenous" and "My Apocalypse", along with a new photo gallery. You can view the e-card by clicking here.
