AUDIOSLAVE Guitarist: New Album Could Go In A Number Of Different Directions
September 29, 2004AUDIOSLAVE guitarist Tom Morello recently told Launch Radio Networks that he can't predict what the group's still-in-progress sophomore album will sound like. "It's hard to say," he said. "We've written 22 songs, and depending which of those we choose to put on the record, it could go in a number of different directions. But I know that within this batch of songs, we've definitely written some of our hardest riff-rock ever. And there's songs that are completely different from music that we've worked on in any way in the past. It's been really exciting to write these songs and record them."
AUDIOSLAVE — whose lineup includes former SOUNDGARDEN frontman Chris Cornell and ex-RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE members Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk — are working with Rick Rubin, who produced the group's self-titled 2002 debut.
