BEHEMOTH Add Session Bassist, Reveal Working Title For New CD
July 4, 2003Polish black/death metallers BEHEMOTH have confirmed the departure of bassist Novy and have announced the addition of a new session bassist, Orion.
Says guitarist/vocalist Nergal, "After three years of live contribution we parted our ways with Novy. He simply got a better offer from our countrymates VADER, to join as a permanent member. In BEHEMOTH he was just a session one so I perfectly understand his decision. Though I've had this feeling that it would happen anyway sooner or later as he started losing interest and motivation to move on. BEHEMOTH is very demanding and challenging band therefore we simply couldn't continue under such circumstances.
"Lately we did two shows in France with a company of a new bassist named Orion, and it worked out pretty great. I dare to say that this band has never sounded that thick and solid. I can't tell more at this moment but I'm very optimistic and the whole band seems to be motivated more than ever.
"Nowadays we are concentrating on upcoming shows. I've also already started working pretty hard on new riffs and songs. The work title for the upcoming album is 'Nephilim Rising'. In upcoming weeks we will reveal labels that will release our next two albums. In the meantime you will have a chance to get brand new MCD called 'Conjuration' including new songs and unreleased stuff only. This material will be strictly limited and should be out this summer. Thank you for all the attention and interest. HORNS UP!!!"
Upcoming BEHEMOTH tour dates:
Jul. 12 - Tuska Festival – Helsinki, FIN
Jul. 18 - Nuclear Storm Festival - CZR
Aug. 09 – Party.San Open Air - Bad Berka, GER
