BEHEMOTH's NERGAL Checks In From MORBID ANGEL Tour
April 14, 2006Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH have made their triumphant return to North America as part of the MORBID ANGEL-headlined "The Masters of Chaos" tour (also featuring KRISIUN and DESPISED ICON) and currently are in the middle of their fourth U.S. trek. The band had just gotten off stage in Cleveland, Ohio when frontman Nergal issued the following update:
"Huh, this was a tough one. I don't remember last time when it was that hot on stage. We were literally boiling inside plus we faced many technical problems. But the crowd didn't disappoint us at all.
"I have to say that all the shows we've done so far have been nothing but awesome. [New York City] was a blast. I don't have enough words to say how much I love this audience. Orlando crowd blew us away…same goes for Springfield or Worcester shows. Canada is yet another story. Going back to this country feels like going back home. Seriously, you guys truly embraced us.
"Seems like people love the idea of 'Masters of Chaos' and most places either sell out or are close to selling out," continues Nergal. "It feels great to witness the fact that extreme metal music is getting such a massive support.
"We'd love to hail all of you for all the dedication and love. You guys give us a true inspiration. Keep it up."
Following the completion of the "Masters of Chaos" trek, Nergal & Co. will be returning to Poland to kick off the second leg of the Polish "Demigod" tour.
BEHEMOTH are continuing to tour in support of their most recent, critically acclaimed record, "Demigod", which was mixed by Nergal and producer Daniel Bergstrand (MESHUGGAH, IN FLAMES) at Dug-Out studios in Uppsala, Sweden. Mastering duties were handled at the Cutting Room studios in Stockholm. A guest appearance by NILE's Karl Sanders is included in the track "Xul".
