BIOHAZARD: 'The New Album Is Not Patriotic'

Hardcore/metal veterans BIOHAZARD have rejected claims that their latest album, "Kill Or Be Killed", has pro-war sentiment.

"The new album is not patriotic," guitarist Billy Graziadei explained. "I don't feel that war is the answer, although President Bush seems intent on it. September 11's events changed the world forever. We realized we weren't untouchable and seemed so far fetched and unbelievable that something so fucked-up and horrendous like that could happen. It's certainly changed the band's viewpoint on life, definitely."

"I think whatever Bush feels or the government feels is irrelevant to me," he added. "To me, war is a fucking horrendous thing. I don't think that it should be about revenge. I want to have some hope that the world will be a better place for my daughter. I can't see any light at the end of the tunnel and it makes me sick when I think of how I'm going to tell my daughter that the world is a terrible place. How do you tell a child that? It worries me."

"Kill Or Be Killed" is set for release on Jan. 27 through SPV/Steamhammer in Europe and Feb. 4 through Sanctuary Records in the U.S.
