BIOMECHANICAL: New Song Available For Download
February 12, 2005A brand new BIOMECHANICAL track, entitled "Empires of the World", has been made available for download at this location.
"Empires of the World" is the title track of the U.K. progressive epic thrash metallers' sophomore album, "Empires of the World", due in early May via Elitist/Earache Records.
The follow-up to 2003's "Eight Moons" (Revolver Records) was recorded by vocalist Jon K and mixed by Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, NEVERMORE, ARCH ENEMY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) at Sneap's own Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, U.K.
"While the album is a multi-faceted concept, it was felt that this particular track encompassed all the elements that go into BIOMECHANICAL's trademark sound," reads a press release from the group's record label. "Their unique blend of classic and modern metal with a movie soundtrack feel already has press and fans alike proclaiming that 2005 will be the year the band finally come to the forefront of the metal scene."
In other news, BIOMECHANICAL will be playing at the Back Room, Austin TX on March 17 during the South by Southwest Music Festival (SXSW). The concert is billed as "Metal Hammer U.K.'s Night of British Steel" and fellow U.K. bands PANIC CELL, RAGING SPEEDHORN and VIKING SKULL will also be playing.
