BLESSED DEATH: Previously Unreleased Songs Posted Online

October 19, 2006

Two previously unreleased songs from long-defunct New Jersey thrashers BLESSED DEATH have been posted online at www.blesseddeath.com. According to guitarist Nick Fiorentino, "these songs are from a studio recording that was originally supposed to be released as BLESSED DEATH's third album back in 1991. I believe there may also be demo versions of these songs out there from a demo that was released prior to the doing the actual studio recording."

BLESSED DEATH released two albums in the mid-'80s — 1986's "Kill or Be Killed" (Megaforce) and 1988's "Destined for Extinction" (Roadrunner) — featuring a complex speed/thrash style that received some critical acclaim but ultimately failed to make a commercial dent. They were also cited by the BNR Metal Pages as the only band, metal or otherwise, that featured identical twins as a rhythm section.
