BOBAFLEX Guitarist: GIGANTOUR Was Best Tour We Could Have Been Part Of
September 13, 2005BOBAFLEX guitarist Mike Steele has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the Gigantour.com web site:
"Well, everyone that we had the pleasure of performing for we would like to thank you all. This has been the best tour we could have ever even imagined being a part of. We would also like to thank Dave [Mustaine] and everyone from MEGADETH for being so kind to us the entire tour. Also all of the other bands that we've made best friends with. And all the crew for Gigantour and all the bands techs you made our life so easy this summer. So as I sit here in Portland minutes away from MEGADETH's set, I must say farewell, Gigantour."
BOBAFLEX's sophomore full-length effort, "Apologize for Nothing", was released last month through TVT Records. The follow-up to "Primitive Epic" (Eclipse Records) includes the track "Guardian", which the West Virginia-based band apparently wrote in in honor of Columbus police officer James D. Niggemeyer, who is widely credited for saving lives on Dec. 8, 2004 when he entered Alrosa Villa without backup and killed a crazed gunman responsible for blowing away four people, including former PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.
