BRET MICHAELS Visits Hurlburt Field Airmen

June 14, 2010

According to Jeff Barker of NFWDailyNews.com, POISON singer Bret Michaels took time before his sold-out show at The Swamp in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida on Friday, June 11 to stop by Hurlburt Field to show support for the military and sign autographs for fans.

Road barricades were lined up in the parking lot, where a crowd began building up three hours before Bret's arrival, some holding umbrellas against the blistering heat.

Michele Hodges said she was impressed Michaels was coming out despite all his recent health issues, including a brain hemorrhage and a stroke.

Michaels hugged and posed for several airmen, then greeted fans who had lined up waiting for him as airmen working security tried to control the crowd.

Bret walked the line of road barricades, shaking hands and signing autographs as fans reached out with their cameras and vied for his attention. He was scheduled to take a private tour of a gunship.
