BRUTAL TRUTH: New Live Photos Posted Online
September 10, 2006BRUTAL TRUTH bassist Danny Lilker (also in NUCLEAR ASSAULT) has sent the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:
"BRUTAL TRUTH would like to thank everyone involved in making our first show in eight years a resounding success. That would be Nate at the Double Door venue, PIG DESTROYER, MINSK, and PLAGUE BRINGER for playing with us, and most importantly all the people who trekked out to the show to check it out. Without the rabid support of all the grinding freaks out there, this would have been impossible, and your enthusiasm is greatly appreciated. We hope to see more mayhem in Montreal October 14th at the BW&BK-sponsored mini-fest and of course at the Maryland Deathfest next May. More shows will ensue as offers come in and are evaluated. Meanwhile, live shots of BRUTAL TRUTH from the Double Door in Chicago from the show on September 3rd can be viewed here.
"Thanks again and see you soon."
As previously reported, Relapse Records has set an October 17 North American release date (October 23 internationally) for the reissue of BRUTAL TRUTH's "Sounds of the Animal Kingdom" (1997) LP and the preceding "Kill Trend Suicide" mini-CD (1996).
These recordings, heralded by metal publications the world over in their day, will be released in one specially-priced, remastered package. The reissue will also include bonus video footage in the form of the bands scarcely seen "Dead Smart" video, extensive and exhaustive liner notes from each member of the band, and a foreword from "Choosing Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal and Grindcore" author Albert Mudrian.
