BUCKCHERRY: German Dates Canceled
August 4, 2009Californian rockers BUCKCHERRY have been forced to cancel their previously announced German dates due to "a severe respiratory tract infection and laryngitis" suffered by the band's singer, Josh Todd.
The following shows will be affected:
Aug. 04 - Cologne, Germany - Underground
Aug. 05- Berlin, Germany - Magnet Club
A spokesman for the band's management company, Tenth Street Entertainment, said, "After eight critically acclaimed shows in the U.K., culminating in a packed show at the Forum for the Kerrang! Awards and a performance at Sonisphere, it is unfortunate BUCKCHERRY will be delayed in showing Germany what U.K. fans were able to witness the last two weeks."
New dates in these cities are being scheduled and existing tickets for these shows will be refunded in full at point of purchase.
Said Josh Todd, "The band has really been looking forward to performing in Germany and I am saddened to be in this position. We look forward to returning soon and thank all of the German fans for their support of BUCKCHERRY."
Hugh of ThrashHits.com conducted an interview with Todd and BUCKCHERRY guitarist Keith Nelson at the Sonisphere festival, which was held on August 1-2, 2009 at the legendary Knebworth Park, United Kingdom. Watch the chat below.
