BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE Frontman Is A First-Time Father

According to Kerrang! magazine, guitarist/vocalist Matt Tuck of Welsh metallers BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE and his partner, Charlotte, welcomed their first child, a son named Evann, on March 25.

In an exclusive interview in this week's Kerrang! magazine, the singer reveals Evann is already a fan of his dad's band.

"When Charlotte was pregnant, we put headphones on her belly to see if he'd react to music," he explains. "His biggest reaction was to SLIPKNOT's 'The Heretic Anthem'! He liked his daddy's stuff, too. We've stopped [playing music] for the moment as we don't want him screaming all the time!"

As previously reported, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE will celebrate the release of its new album, "Fever", with a secret show in London, England on April 29.

The news was announced by the band during an online chat with fans.

This will be the band's first U.K. performance since Sonisphere festival in August, 2009, and will be their only U.K. show until their headline dates at the end of 2010.

Due in the U.S. on April 27 (one day earlier internationally) via Jive/Zomba, "Fever" pairs BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE with producer Don Gilmore, best known for his work with LINKIN PARK and GOOD CHARLOTTE.

The band — Tuck, guitarist Michael Paget, bassist Jason James and drummer Michael Thomas — recorded the CD in studios both in its native Wales and Los Angeles.

"Fever" follows "Scream Aim Fire", which debuted at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, a career high for the group, whom Kerrang! named "Best British Band" in both 2008 and 2009. Worldwide "Scream Aim Fire" has sold one million copies and debuted in the Top 5 in Germany, Austria, Australia and No. 1 in Japan and reached gold status in the U.K. and Canada.

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE starts a headlining U.S. tour on April 30. Stops for the band include New Jersey's Bamboozle Festival and Columbus, Ohio's Rock on the Range. Upcoming international festival highlights include the Download Festival in the United Kingdom, Germany's massive Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, Sweden’s Metaltown, Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting, Austria's Nova Rock and Italy's famed Gods Of Metal.
