CANCER — vocalist/guitarist John Walker, drummer Carl Stokes, bassist Adam Richardson, and guitarist Rob Engvikson — are currently working on a new EP, "Corporation$", which they plan to release in early November to coincide with their upcoming reunion dates.
Former in 1988 by Walker, Stokes and bassist Ian Buchanan, CANCER are most notable for recruiting the talents of guitarist James Murphy (DEATH, OBITUARY, TESTAMENT) for their second album, "Death Shall Rise" (1991). The band released two more albums following Murphy's departure, including their major label debut, "Black Faith" (EastWest),which failed to light up the sales charts and ultimately led to the group's break-up in 1996. Stokes later joined ASSERT before founding REMISSION with Walker.
