CARPATHIAN FOREST Singer Suffers Injury, Band To Perform Instrumental Set At NO MERCY FESTIVALS

March 29, 2004

Tour manager Joey Severance has issued a statement regarding CARPATHIAN FOREST's participation in this year's No Mercy Festivals European tour, which is scheduled to begin Tuesday (March 30) in Osnabrück, Germany.

Says Severance: "Several days ago, [CARPATHIAN FOREST] vocalist Nattefrost was involved in an accident and suffered torn muscles and a fracture of his collar bone. He has been advised by his doctor not to participate on the tour, but rather than let their fans down, CARPATHIAN FOREST will play an instrumental set for the first few shows so that Nattefrost can recuperate a bit more and he will join the band Saturday, April 3rd in Vienna (Wien) Austria to finish off the rest of the tour. We hope you all understand this situation."

In addition to CARPATHIAN FOREST, the No Mercy Festivals tour is scheduled to include appearances by CANNIBAL CORPSE, HYPOCRISY, KATAKLYSM, VOMITORY, EXHUMED, SPAWN OF POSSESSION and PREJUDICE. Dates are currently scheduled through April 12 in Tilburg, Holland.
