September 30, 2011CHICKENFOOT was interviewed on this past Wednesday night's (September 28) edition of the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn. You can now listen to the program at RocklineRadio.com.
CHICKENFOOT offered fans a very special free live concert webcast, "Chickenfoot Presents III", on the release date of the band's sophomore album, "III", September 27. At 6 p.m. PST, the band performed tracks from the new album at TRI Studios in Marin County, California and hosted a 30-minute question-and-answer session with the fans at Chickenfoot.us.
One of the performance clips from the "Chickenfoot Presents III" webcast can be seen below.
"III" is likely to sell between 50,000 and 60,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to industry web site Hits Daily Double. The estimate was based on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores on September 27 via eOne Music.
CHICKENFOOT's self-titled debut opened with 49,000 units back in June 2009 to debut at position No. 6 on The Billboard 200 chart.
"III" was produced by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, METALLICA) and is the much-anticipated follow-up album to the successful eponymous debut of a rock band packed with successful veterans guitar hero Joe Satriani, drummer Chad Smith, former VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony and frontman Sammy Hagar.
The band recently announced that veteran drummer Kenny Aronoff will sit behind the kit for the band on tour while Smith hits the road with the CHILI PEPPERS.
