CHROME DIVISION: Rumors Of A Bright Future
March 25, 2009CHROME DIVISION, the Norwegian five-piece featuring DIMMU BORGIR frontman Shagrath (a.k.a. Stian Thoresen) on guitar, has issued the following update:
"There's a lot of things happening in the CHROME camp nowadays. First off, the live situation is brighter than ever. Two more festivals in Germany are confirmed. Details will follow later. Then the Underworld Club of London, England will most certainly get Chromed in a near future. Then there's rumours of a trip over to the U.S., more specific Los Angeles, to show the Americans what Norwegian doomsday rock'n'roll is all about. It's then appropriate that all the guitarists in CHROME DIVISION is newly sponsored by Peavey amps and cabs for the ultimate live sound. Furthermore, the band is busy at rehearsals making more smokin' rock for the third release. Four songs is ready and the fumes of burning rubber is rising once again."
CHROME DIVISION performed at the Winterfire Festival at Hessenhallen in Giessen, Germany on February 21 with a stand-in vocalist — Athera of SUSPERIA — after the band's frontman, Eddie Guz, was not able to make the gig.
An e-card for "Booze, Broads And Beelzebub", the sophomore album from CHROME DIVISION, can be accessed at this location.

The material is described by the band as "a bit more varied than on 'Doomsday Rock 'n Roll'. A bit more metal, more fast stuff, but still the basics in filthy rock 'n' roll."
