CIRCLE II CIRCLE Bassist Writes, Records, And Produces R-TRUTH's New Music
May 28, 2010Mitch Stewart (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, THE ELEMENT) has collaborated with WWE wrestling superstar R-Truth (a.k.a. Ron Killings) on R-Truth's new album, "Right Time". The CD, which is described as a "metal-meets-rap" collaboration where Mitch plays all the instruments and R-Truth raps, is the follow-up to the wrestler's second CD, 2007's "You Can't Stop Me", which included R-Truth's entrance music, "What's Up", produced by Mitch. "What's Up" also won a WWE "Slammy" award in 2008 best ring entrance.
"This is something new to me," says Mitch. "We worked so well together on 'You Can't Stop Me' and I'm happy Ron called me up to do the follow-up. It's nice knowing out of all the people [current WWE Chairman and CEO] Vince [McMahon] could have set Ron up with, he chose me for this. I'm STILL thrilled about it!"
You can see the video for "What's Up" below.
R-Truth won the WWE U.S. title on the May 24 edition of "Raw".
