CIRCLE II CIRCLE: New EP, Full-Length Album To Receive U.S. Release
May 9, 2008CIRCLE II CIRCLE the band led by ex-SAVATAGE singer Zak Stevens will release a new EP, the six-track "So Many Reasons", in the U.S. on May 20 via Locomotive Records. Thirty-six days later, on June 24, Locomotive will release the fourth all-new CIRCLE II CIRCLE studio album, "Delusions of Grandeur".
"So Many Reasons" starts with the title track, continues with an edited version of "Every Last Thing", before hitting its stride with "Darkness Rising", the album version of "Every Last Thing" and a video for "Evermore".
Stevens joined SAVATAGE in the early '90s for "Edge of Thorns" and contributed mightily to the Florida band's "Dead Winter Dead", "Handful of Rain" and "The Wake of Megellan" albums. Shortly before the "Poets & Madmen" LP in 2001, Stevens left amicably to form CIRCLE II CIRCLE and spend more time with his family. CIIC's 2003 release, "Watching In Silence", featured SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva co-writing most of the material.
CIRCLE II CIRCLE, JON OLIVA'S PAIN and MANTICORA will team up for the first leg of the North American "Global Intrusions" tour this fall. This marks the first time that Jon Oliva (JON OLIVA'S PAIN, SAVATAGE, TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA) and Zak Stevens (CIRCLE II CIRCLE, ex-SAVATAGE) have toured together since their days in SAVATAGE in 1999.
The band's last album, "Burden of Truth", was released in October 2006 via AFM Records.
