CIVILIZATION ONE Calls It Quits

CIVILIZATION ONE, the band led by singer Chitral "Chity" Somapala (ex-FIREWIND, FARO, AVALON) and bassist Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson (MALADAPTIVE, ex-HEAVENLY),has released the following statement:

"We have been announcing our second album, 'Calling The Gods', following our 'Revolution Rising' debut in 2007. Unfortunately, due to economy crisis and lack of interest from labels, we came to a point where we have to close the chapter.

"We would like to kindly thank all the past and present members for their contribution from 2006 until 2010 and all the supporters/fans all over the planet.

CIVILIZATION ONE's most recent lineup was as follows:

Chitral "Chity" Somapala (FIREWIND, FARO, AVALON) - Vocals
Pierre-Emmanuel Pélisson (MALADAPTIVE, HEAVENLY) - Bass
Michael Stein - Drums
Oliver Marmann - Guitar
Nicklaus Bergen - Guitar

In 2008, CIVILIZATION ONE made a huge impact in Somapala's home country of Sri Lanka as it was the first international metal act to ever play there, performing in front of 4,000 people.
