CONSTRUCDEAD: Studio Update
October 31, 2004CONSTRUCDEAD, the Swedish band featuring TERROR 2000 drummer Erik Thyselius, have posted a 14-second video clip of the recording sessions for the group's new EP, entitled "Wounded". Download it at this location (MPEG, 327 KB). The CD, which is being recorded and mixed over a three-day period (Oct. 29-31) at Fear And Loathing Studio (co-owned by CLAWFINGER and MESHUGGAH),will contain three brand new songs and the 'Wounded' video.
Commented the band in an online posting: "Everything's goin great! We're just now laying down the drums on the last song of the three... After that we'll start recording the guitars! We're aiming to finish recording most of the guitars today [Oct. 30], and record the bass and the vocals tomorrow! The sound is fuckin' ripping, and this is by far the best shit to come out of the CONSTRUCDEAD camp ever! We've borrowed some gear from MESHUGGAH... That should just about say it all about the sound! Stay metal, cuz we will! :)"
CONSTRUCDEAD, who recently announced the the addition of bassist Johan Magnusson (ex-CARNAL FORGE guitarist) to the group's ranks, released their sophomore album, "Violadead", earlier this year through Sound Pollution Records. The CD was recorded and mixed at Helsingborg's Queenstreet Recording with producer Richard Larsson and features a guest appearance by SOILWORK vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid and ex-SOILWORK drummer Henry Ranta in the track "Bitter End". A limited-edition digipack version of the album features as a special bonus a demo recording of the track "Inhuman Condition".
