CRYPTOPSY Drummer Talks About The Return Of LORD WORM

July 21, 2004

In an interview with Rock and Roll Online, CRYPTOPSY drummer Flo Mounier spoke about the return of vocalist Lord Worm to the group's ranks after an eight-year absence. Asked how the reunion came about, Flo said, "Well, when we began the writing process for the up-and-coming fifth album, we realized that the lyrics from [previous singer] Martin [Lacroix, ex-SPASME] were not up to par. He did a great job live, but his English wasn't perfect. I called up Lord Worm to ask him if he could write the lyrics and in the same call he told me that he'd like to come back. It was that easy. He's been working hard to make up for his eight-year absence and come back stronger than ever." Read the rest of the interview here.

As previously reported, CRYPTOPSY are expected to enter Wild Studio in St-Zenon, Quebec later in the year with producer Pierre Remillard ("None So Vile", "Whisper Supremacy", "And Then You'll Beg", "None So Live") to begin recording their new album, tentatively due in early 2005.
