CULT OF LUNA: 'Leave Me Here' Video Posted Online
November 10, 2004CULT OF LUNA's video for the track "Leave Me Here" has been posted online at Earache.com.
"Leave Me Here" comes off CULT OF LUNA's third album, "Salvation", released last month via Earache Records.
Featuring the band's twin calling cards of apocalyptic swathes of sound and at times heartrending vocals, "Leave Me Here" is easily one of the standout tracks on the new album and the visuals attached to it by groundbreaking directorial team Popcore are sure to leave the viewer feeling dwarfed by the sheer majesty of what the band have produced.
Reminiscent of the Tim Burton stop-motion school of filmmaking, the clip for "Leave Me Here" presents a series of thought provoking images; an old man rides in a taxi called Salvation, the streets are populated by monkey wrenches, and an old man is saved from drowning by an otherworldly figure. All this is overseen by the almost Big Brother-esque representation of CULT OF LUNA themselves as they are projected onto massive screens on the peripheries of this insane world.
