DARKSIDE: New Album Title, Concept Revealed

June 9, 2007

Austrian death metal band DARKSIDE has issued the following update:

"DARKSIDE have started to work on their next release, which will be entitled 'Decayed 1.0' and will be featuring 16 songs of the band from their first 10 years of recording. All songs will be recorded anew and there might be cover versions of 'Golden Eye' (TINA TURNER) and 'Le Mitard' (TRUST). DARKSIDE will be joined by Italian guitar hero Janosz Murri for this recording. No release date has been set for this album yet, but the band is looking for a release in spring 2008. Also, the pre-production for the next 'real' full-length album of DARKSIDE, tentatively entitled 'Inferno', started a few weeks ago. As being a conceptional album about the life of Madeleine de la Palude, a young lady from France who lived in the 17th century, first the lyrical concept has been finished a now the first musical ideas are brought together. Expect a release not prior to 2009 for this album."

DARKSIDE released its latest album, "Amber – Skeletal Journeys through the Void", in March through Austria's up-and-coming metal label Noisehead Records.
