DAVE NAVARRO: THE PANIC CHANNEL Album Is 'One Of Best-Sounding Records I Have Ever Done'
January 19, 2006THE PANIC CHANNEL, the new band featuring three quarters of the most recent lineup of JANE'S ADDICTION (guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins, and bassist Chris Chaney) and former SKYCYCLE vocalist Steve Isaacs, have finished mixing the eighth song for their upcoming debut album, tentatively due late spring via Capitol Records. "We finished 'Outsider' and tonight is all about 'Night One'," Navarro writes on his web site. "At the console mixing the record is Ryan Williams, who did a lot of the re-tracking with us and Josh [Abraham, producer; KORN, COURTNEY LOVE, LIMP BIZKIT, VELVET REVOLVER]. I must say I am very impressed with him. 'Sonically' speaking, this is probably one of the best, if not the best, sounding record I have ever done. Ryan has an amazing sense for where things should go. Working with Brendan O'Brien for all those years has really rubbed off on him, but he has really come into his own." Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "She Won"t Last", "Awake", "Go On", "Loophole", "Bloody Mary", "Said You"d Be" and "Why Cry".
