DAVID ELLEFSON, MARCO MENDOZA, JOEY VERA At Bass Player LIVE! Convention; Video Available

November 4, 2008

David Ellefson (F5, ex-MEGADETH),Marco Mendoza (ex-THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE),Frank Bello (ANTHRAX) and Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, FATES WARNING) are among the musicians who took part in the Bass Player LIVE! convention, which was held November 1-2, 2008 at S.I.R. Studios in Hollywood, California.

Commented Ellefson: "I had a special treat at the Saturday night all-star bass jam held at the Key Club on Sunset. My jam included drummer Greg Bissonette as well as P-Nut from 311, Tony Franklin (fretless god from THE FIRM) my good friend Steve Bailey, and more. I also got to spend some quality backstage time getting to know Mike Watt of MINUTEMEN fame, who Flea (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS) presented with a Lifetime Achievment Award. Probably more bass chops in one weekend than you could ever find anywhere on the planet this, the event was a blast and was good for the low-end soul."

Bass Player LIVE! is organized by Bass Player magazine and the industry's leading bass instrument and equipment manufacturers and most notable bassists. Together they provide the bass playing community with a key event for improving and expanding playing technique and knowledge, improving skills, and gaining awareness of the musical products out there for players of all levels.
