DEAD TO FALL: 'Major Rager' Video Posted Online
May 7, 2008"Major Rager", the final video from the now-defunct Chicago- and Minneapolis-based deathcore band DEAD TO FALL, can be viewed below.
Regarding the band's recent breakup, vocalist Jonathan Hunt stated: "DEAD TO FALL is no more. After nine years, it's time to say goodbye. There really isn't an easy way to say this, but the DEAD TO FALL machine broke beyond repair . . . . I guess the financial, personal, and emotional strains wore some of us down and caused a violent collapse.
"After a show in Wisconsin, Logan [Kelly, guitar] and Chad [M. Fjerstad, bass] quit this past weekend. I won't go into the whole 'behind-the-music-band-break-up' scenario, but it was a night filled with retarded actions and words. The rest of us don't want to go through yet another major lineup change and really are just ready for a new chapter in our lives."
Formed in 1999, DEAD TO FALL drew influences from Swedish metal, hardcore, death metal, and other genres, but was usually labeled a metalcore band. The band's first two albums reached combined sales of 60,000 copies in the U.S. alone (according to publicity material released through Victory Records).
DEAD TO FALL's fourth album, "Are You Serious?", was released on February 19 via Victory.
