DEATH ANGEL: First Footage Of New Drummer Posted Online
June 17, 2009Capital Chaos has uploaded the first footage of San Francisco Bay Area metal veterans DEATH ANGEL performing with their new drummer — Will Carroll, formerly of SCARECROW, OLD GRANDAD and VICIOUS RUMORS. The clip, which was shot this past Sunday afternoon (June 14) at the 32nd annual Haight Street Fair — the most celebrated street fair in San Francisco — can be viewed below.
DEATH ANGEL's longtime drummer and original member Andrew Galeon left the band in April. Carroll will hande the drum duties for the upcoming local shows in June and the Summer Madness Tour in Europe with KATAKLYSM and KEEP OF KALESSIN. The group said, "Will's been jamming with us for over a month now and is tearing it up! We'll be performing songs from 'Frolic' and 'Act III' that we haven't played live since back in the day so prepare for a dose of some serious old-school thrash!"
Five years after the release of the band's acclaimed comeback album, "The Art Of Dying", and the follow-up effort, "Killing Season", influential Bay Area metallers DEATH ANGEL have just issued a DVD with two full-length concerts filmed in Germany. Entitled "Sonic German Beatdown", the package — which came out on April 17 — includes footage from the 2007 edition of the Rock Hard Festival and a 2008 performance in Adelsheim. As an added bonus, the set includes a live CD.
