DEFTONES' 'Saturday Night Wrist' Headed For Top 20 Debut
November 2, 2006According to Hits Daily Double, DEFTONES' new album, "Saturday Night Wrist", is poised to sell between 70,000 and 80,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land in the Top 20 of The Billboard 200 chart. The final first-week numbers will be released on Wednesday, November 8.
DEFTONES began work on the disc with PINK FLOYD, ALICE COOPER and JANE'S ADDICTION producer Bob Ezrin, but that relationship did not pan out and the band parted ways with Ezrin in the midst of recording.
"Saturday Night Wrist" follows DEFTONES' self-titled 2003 album and includes the new single "Hole in the Earth".
The group will be featured on the Family Values Tour 2006 CD and DVD, which are both due out on December 26.
DEFTONES began a headlining U.S. tour last week and plays tonight (November 2) in Seattle. The band recently added new dates in five cities, including a second night in Los Angeles on November 10, a Las Vegas show on November 11, a San Antonio stop on November 18, a Boston gig on December 1 and a New York concert on December 5.
