DESPISED ICON: More Footage From The Studio Posted Online
May 6, 2009Montreal extreme metallers DESPISED ICON are working on their new album, due in the fall via Century Media Records. The sixth in a series of webisodes documenting the sessions can be viewed below.
The band states: "Guitar solos are done! Check out this week's studio update to see the latest shred. This means we're finally done recording our new record! The whole thing is being mixed right now by Zeuss (HATEBREED, THE ACACIA STRAIN, WHITECHAPEL) in Massachusetts and the rough mixes sound killer so far! Mastering will be done in about a week by Alan Douches (MASTODON, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, NILE). Get stoked guys!"
DESPISED ICON recently released a new DVD entitled "Montreal Assault Live". The disc features a "stellar" multi-camera shoot from the band's sold-out hometown show, alongside a new hour-long documentary and all of the band's promotional video clips.
DESPISED ICON released a "deluxe edition" of its "The Ills of Modern Man" album in June 2008, featuring a bonus DVD composed of a live set from a monumental hometown performance, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. The live footage includes the following songs: "A Fractured Hand", "Bulletproof Scales", "Harvesting The Deceased", "Immaculate", "Retina", "The Sunset Will Never Charm Us" and "In The Arms Of Perdition".
