DEVILDRIVER Miss OZZFEST Appearance
July 30, 2004DEVILDRIVER, the new band fronted by former COAL CHAMBER singer Dez Fafara, were forced to miss their Ozzfest 2004 appearance at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA on Thursday (July 29). "The band's bus broke down somewhere in Oregon about 24 hours ago, and is still un-operable," according to a July 29 posting on the band's web site. "There were wrecking crews out there all night, but no luck. The band tried plane (no go),a 15-passenger van (no go),even a train (that is actually a lie) to make today's show. No luck. This will mark the first time in five Ozzfests that Dez has ever missed a show. Fate has closed its claw. The band is currently holed up at a Motel 6 somewhere in Oregon, and hope to be back on the road and playing come tomorrow. Again, apologies to those at Ozzfest today."
