DEW-SCENTED Cancel METALLIANCE Appearance
May 7, 2006German thrashers DEW-SCENTED have issued the following statement:
"Hello to everybody, especially to our friends in France possibly attending Metalliance festival this weekend: DEW-SCENTED will not perform after all tonight. The promoter decided to not stand by his contract, so there we go (or rather: we don't, haha!). Too bad really, as we were looking forward to playing there for you! And by the way: Thanks to everybody who came out to the shows this weekend in Weil der Stadt and the two club shows in Essen last night. Fun!" Other bands that are known to have cancelled their appearances at the Metalliance festival include TIAMAT and EPICA.
DEW-SCENTED last fall extended their deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The band's latest album, "Issue VI", was released in Europe in June 2005 via Nuclear Blast. The follow-up to 2003's "Impact" was recorded at Stage One studios in Borgentreich, Germany with producer Andy Classen (CALLENISH CIRCLE, TANKARD, OCCULT).
