DISTURBED: New Album Artwork To Be Created By TODD MCFARLANE
July 15, 2005Todd McFarlane will be creating the album cover for the new DISTURBED album, "Ten Thousand Fists", in stores September 20. Aside from creating the wildly popular comic book character Spawn, McFarlane also designed the album cover for KORN's "Follow the Leader" as well as the video for "Freak on a Leash" and PEARL JAM's "Do the Evolution".
As previously reported, the fan club edition of "Ten Thousand Fists" will include two bonus tracks and a three-month membership to the group's new website, DisturbedOnes.com. The Chicago-based band recorded 20 songs during the sessions for the album, of which 14 made the final track list. In addition to the two songs on the fan club version of the disc, singer David Draiman told Launch that the other unreleased tunes will all eventually surface. "Every one of these tracks is gonna end up seeing the light of day, no matter what form that ends up being," he said. "It could be soundtrack potential, B-side potential, and we actually have all the intentions and hopes of releasing an EP in between this record and the next record, with all the officially unreleased tracks, or songs that were only married to soundtracks." A single called "Stricken" will make its way to radio stations later this month.
DisturbedOnes.com will launch later this summer and include access to concert ticket pre-sales as well as other exclusive features.
DISTURBED begins a six-week North American tour on August 3 in Ventura, California. ILL NINO and 10 YEARS will be the opening acts.
