April 16, 2002German singer DORO PESCH and her band—Joe Taylor (guitar),Nick Douglas (bass),Johnny Dee (drums) and Oliver Palotai (guitar/keyboards)—have been hard at work at Soundmine studios in Pennsylvania putting the finishing touches on her new album, tentatively entitled Fight. According to DORO, “It's our heaviest album in the last 10 years. It has some kick-ass live performances, great anthems and some real intense ballads!”
Among the tracks being recorded is the album's projected title track, "Fight", which was recorded for female German boxer Regina Halmich, "Untouchable", which will be translated into Spanish, "Always Live To Win", and "Descent", the last of which is a duet with TYPE O NEGATIVE's Peter Steele. Also included will be collaborations with such songwriters as Russ Ballard and Jean Beauvoir (i.e. LITTLE STEVEN, PLASMATICS, CROWN OF THORNS).
