DREAM THEATER Guitarist Goes Solo, Band Offer Studio Previews!
December 21, 2001DREAM THEATER guitarist John Petrucci has begun recording his first solo album, which will most likely have nine tracks and include the three new songs John performed during the G3 tour ("Jaws of Life", "Damage Control" and "Glasgow Kiss"). Other musicians performing on the CD will be Dave LaRue (i.e. DIXIE DREGS, PLANET X) on bass, Dave DiCenso (i.e. CRO-MAGS, SHELTER) on drums on seven of the tracks, and Tony Verderosa on drums on one track. The album is being engineered by Doug Oberkircher at Doug's studio in Suffern, New York. In other DREAM THEATER-related news, the group's official web site at www.dreamtheater.net will be featuring six so-called “webisodes” in streaming Real Video between now and the US release of the band's new studio CD, entitled Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, on January 29th, 2002, each containing a behind-the-scenes look on the recording process of Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, as well as sneak previews of the six new tracks from the new album.
