ECHOES OF ETERNITY Launches Maiden Tour With SYMPHONY X
June 15, 2007"We are completely stoked and honored to hit the road with the mighty SYMPHONY X this summer," says founding ECHOES OF ETERNITY member and guitarist Brandon S. Patton from his cellular phone while stuck in notorious Los Angeles traffic. "This is our first North American tour [of 25 shows which launches on July 12 in Hartford, Connecticut] and we are genuinely thrilled to learn as much as possible from and share the stage with one of the best bands on the planet. We can't wait to meet all of our fans and see all our friends and family this summer!!!"
Formed in 2004 to merge the power and aggression of extreme metal with the musicianship of progressive metal and completing their sound with the beautiful dynamics of the female voice, ECHOES OF ETERNITY has achieved more than most would imagine possible for a new band. Landing a record deal within a year of their existence and releasing their debut album, "The Forgotten Goddess", seven months after signing their contract, the metal scene has taken note of both the band's guitarist and lead singer. Guitar One magazine praised Patton for "his wicked pick-hand stamina as he pounds out neoclassical chops and arpeggio sweeps. The harmonies in the riffs are what really hits home," and Québec native Francine Boucher secured a debut feature in the most popular issue of the national North American print magazine, Revolver: "The Hottest Chicks In Metal," which is out now on newsstands.
States Boucher: "The Revolver shoot was a lot of fun. Cristina (Scabbia of LACUNA COIL) and Maria (Brink, IN THIS MOMENT) are super nice. The whole crew was great and we all had a blast!" With three Canadian dates, Boucher acknowledges that the band has received an incredible amount of support from fans in her native territory of Québec. "I am really looking forward to singing in my homeland. While I haven't been back in a while, the metal scene there seems to be in excellent health. It's an honor for me to play these shows!"
"The Forgotten Goddess" was recorded in six months in Venice, California at RavensWork Studios and produced, engineered, and mastered by Eric Ryan. Fans of melodic, progressive metal can view the video for "Voices in a Dream" at this location.
