EMERALD SUN Signs With PITCH BLACK RECORDS

Greek melodic heavy/power metallers EMERALD SUN have inked a deal with Pitch Black Records. The band's sophomore album, "Regeneration", is scheduled for release on February 11. The CD includes "ten new tracks of utterly brilliant melodic heavy/power metal," according to a press release. It was recorded, mixed and mastered at Maranis Studios in Backnang, Germany by Vagelis Maranis (ex-SANVOISEN) who also lends his voice on the 12-minute epic "Fantasmagoria".

The CD version of "Regeneration" will include a bonus track — a cover version of '80s pop classic "Holding Out For A Hero" — and will be available worldwide through Pitch Black Records and Twilight Distribution.

Formed in 1998, in Thessaloniki, Greece, EMERALD SUN recorded two demos prior to the release of the band's full-length debut in 2007 ("Escape from Twilight"),which was later issued in Japan with exclusive bonus material.
