EPICA Cancel METALLIANCE Festival Appearance

Dutch female-fronted symphic metal band EPICA were forced to cancel their appearance at the Metalliance festival in Beauvais, France yesterday (May 5) "due to some major organization problems," according to a posting on the band's web site. "We hope you guys will accept our apologies, but we also hope you guys understand that this was just out of our hands! We have [also] been informed that some other bands on this festival [including TIAMAT, ANATHEMA and THE GATHERING, apparently – Ed.] have cancelled their gig for today as well (for the same reason) so please think again before buying a ticket!"

EPICA have been confirmed to make their debut U.S. appearance at ProgPower USA VII festival on September 15 and 16 Earthlink Live in Atlanta. Also scheduled to perform are EVERGREY, SAVAGE CIRCUS (featuring former BLIND GUARDIAN drummer Thomen Stauch and IRON SAVIOR vocalist/guitarist Piet Sielck),PYRAMAZE (featuring Lance King, former vocalist for BALANCE OF POWER),FREAK KITCHEN, THUNDERSTONE, VISION DIVINE, MERCENARY and WASTEFALL. EPICA will then embark on a North American tour with KAMELOT, which will take them through mid-October.
